They help millions of people in the Netherlands every day to move from A to B on a bike or in a car imported by them. With more than 16,500 employees in over 65 countries, they have positioned themselves as expert and market leader.

At the start of 2022, Pon reached out to Mijksenaar for advice. How do you create bathrooms where every employee feels welcome? Together with Pon, we wrote a white paper including the best techniques we made after doing empathy research and sourcing user input on pictograms, getting to know the community, conducting surveys, and performing usability testing at Schiphol.

At ASML, the world’s leading chipmaker, many employees are neurodivergent. Therefore, we tailored the wayfinding to optimize their work days as they move throughout the space.

By retaining specific and lengthy numbering, which may otherwise seem like too much information for neurotypical people, the employees who connect with and prefer long numbering sequences easily find every part of the building.

We assisted deSingel, an international arts center in Belgium, in ensuring they were inclusive. As a result, the accessibility page on their website outlines their services, including audio descriptions for the visually impaired, parking and aid for people who use wheelchairs and walking frames, inclusive toilets, and ear protection for the noise sensitive.

On October 3rd, 2022, our Inclusivity Lead Jolein attended an inclusivity conference at the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam, where the museum presented its vision on accessibility.

“Accessibility begins by realizing that there are barriers that make it difficult for people to access or feel unwelcome. We want to remove these barriers so that everybody can have access to the collection on an equal and independent way.”
