The Van Nelle Factory is a multifunctional venue in which over 80 entrepreneurs have set up their businesses and receive visitors. In addition to customers, the building also draws tourists and visitors of various events.
The complex consists of several buildings and parking locations and the site has two entrances. The challenge for Mijksenaar is to ensure that all target groups will find the right entrance, car park, building and space with ease.
In accordance to an earlier ‘Expert walkthrough’, Mijksenaar is developing and designing a completely new wayfinding plan. This is in keeping with the current style and use and simultaneously does justice to the history of this unusual building.
The Mijksenaar team consults closely with a project group in which tenants, visitors and the city are represented. We also collaborate closely with Wessel de Jonge, Van Nelle Factory’s coordinating architect.
