Fred Inklaar and Herbert Seevinck of Mijksenaar share their thoughts on why it is important for airports to be up to date with their digital identity, infrastructure and services.
The future starts today
How the future will work out is difficult to predict. But the future starts today, and passengers already have digital demands, and expect personalized digital experiences now. Passengers want up-to-date personalized flight notifications, and assume wifi to be omnipresent.
However, what users wish and what users want will change over time, following the fast trends in digital design and technology. This does not alleviate the airport of their task of catering to these digital needs, but it does push them to follow or even direct the latest digital developments.
