RET, Rotterdam Completion: 2009–ongoing
Every year RET, Rotterdam’s public transport company, transports 78 million customers by metro.
Mijksenaar’s goal was to make traveling by metro easy and carefree for both daily and incidental travelers. The five metro lines are each identified by a unique letter and colour. The direction is indicated by the name of the terminal station of the line.
All of this takes shape in the content and design of the information system (metro map, dynamic signage in the stations, static information in the metro trains).
