A wayfinding strategy for 328 stores

Mijksenaar helped IKEA with the establishment of better routes and wayfinding within their stores. The objective of the project was twofold: to create the new wayfinding strategy for IKEA worldwide & design and implement a signage system for IKEA’s Concept Center (Delft). The implementation was used as a pilot for the worldwide strategy, the results were used to improve and finalize the strategy for implementation in all other stores.
The project resulted in the ‘IKEA Manual Customer Guidance System’, a wayfinding implementation manual for all 328 stores.
