Jeroen Bosch Hospital

Client: Jeroen Bosch Hospital
Period: 2009 – 2011

At the new location most of the hospital facilities are brought together. The building is therefore huge; it consists of seven different sections and has up to eight floors. In 2009 the project team for the new building asked Mijksenaar to develop a wayfinding system which would help the visitors to find their way through the different building sections and floors.

The system, which has been developed, is a three step system; First the visitor has to find the right building section (e.g. building B), than the right floor (e.g. floor 2) and than the right reception area (e.g. reception area 2). With a simple code like B 2 2 (i.e. in a consultation letter) the visitor is now able to find his or her way through the hospital.

The signs are made of powder coated steel plate and together with the clear graphic design it gives the signs a neutral and timeless appearance.
