Woonmall Alexandrium is a combination of a megastore, shopping mall and a parking garage in Rotterdam (Netherlands).
Visibility of signage in Woonmall Alexandrium is generally not sufficient. Hanging positions are too high and there is too little contrast in combination with its background.
Mijksenaar and Buro Toob are working on a new system using gates to show all the entrances and exits. Signal colours are used to make the gates stand out from their environment.
