Napoli International Airport is located north-northeast of the city in the Capodichino district of Naples. The airport has one terminal building. A change of ownership changed makes a total renewal of the wayfinding at the airport desirable.
The existing wayfinding system at Napoli has been analysed by Mijksenaar. Based on this analysis, a new wayfinding system for Napoli airport has been implemented. The signage is colour-coded with two different foreground/background colour combinations, based on function:
