Often design is seen as an artistic and aesthetic feat. To bring the economic significance to the notice of the public as well, Premsela Foundation has given TNO an assignment to map the economic role of design in the Dutch economy. To visualize the statistical data, Mijsenaar drew inspiration from the portfolio of Otto Neurath and Gerd Arntz.
