Mijksenaar designed a standard, modular series of signing elements to fit all types of stations – from very small regional train stops to large and complex city transportation hubs.
Mijksenaar launched and established the use of small captions within the pictogram area help first users and older travelers (without much experience in the use of symbols) with memory cues.
In addition to signage a manual was developed for making maps of all railway stations in the Netherlands.
Mijksenaar is currently active as consultancy for all updates and new developments of diverse information means (i.e. digital signage).
